To Keymer and Hassocks Cricket Club. We are a cricket club based in Mid Sussex near the East/West Sussex border, about 12 miles north of Brighton. We play our home games at Adastra Park in the centre of Hassocks village.

Playing...

We run three Saturday teams and one (sometimes two) Sunday teams and occasional midweek teams.

For the 2008 season............

• The Sat 1st XI are playing in Sussex League Division 3 East
• The Sat 2nd XI play in Sussex League Division 3 East (2nd XI's)
• The Sat 3rd XI play in the Mid-Sussex Stoner League Divison 3.

The Sunday team(s) play friendlies against teams of mixed abilities, with the idea of getting everyone involved in the game.

We also run a youth section which this year are running the following age groups..........

• Under 11's
• Under 12's
• Under 13's
• Under 16's

Training is held on saturday mornings for the older age groups and monday evening for the under 11's. We welcome children of all abilities and of ages 9 and upwards.

History

The club was a founder member of Sussex Invitaion League, in which we have played league cricket since its inception in 1979. The 1st XI played in the top division of this until it was split from two divisions of 16 clubs, into four divisions of 9 clubs in 2002. In which we then were placed in division 2. We finished in 7th position at the end of the 2007 season and are looking forward to our first season in the newly formed County League 3.

The 2nd XI since clubs were allowed to be promoted independantly of their 1st XI's has had a more successful time winning thier league and promotion from Division Two into the top flight in 2004, However they finished this season in 6th place in Division two.

The 3rd XI have played in the Stoner League division 3 since 2005, narrowly missing out on promotion in the final game of last season, they finished this season 3rd from bottom.

We are always looking for new players, be they young or old.
